Texas-Style Beef Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 cups beef broth

Instructions

  1. Brown beef in a heavy pot and drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and pepper and cook until soft.
  3. Stir in spices.
  4. Add tomatoes and broth.
  5. Simmer 35 to 45 minutes until thick and deeply flavored.
